External Health and Safety Advisor

Competent Advisor

Under the law, every employer is obligated to appoint at least one Competent Health and Safety Person to help them fulfil their legal health and safety responsibilities.

As outlined in the Management of Health & Safety Regulations 1999, failure to comply with this requirement constitutes a breach of statutory duty under Health and Safety Legislation, potentially leading to criminal prosecution.

Additionally, if your organisation lacks an in-house Competent H&S Advisor and you are seeking accreditation with a Safety Schemes in Procurement (SSIP) member, such as CHAS, SMAS, or SafeContractor, our External Competent Advisor service may be essential, as it is a mandatory requirement for accreditation.

Our Competent H&S Adviser Service covers your company for a full 12 months and includes up to 5 hours of remote consultancy time.
