What is SSIP?

Safety Schemes in Procurement (SSIP) is not an assessment scheme itself; it is an umbrella organisation that includes various assessment schemes aimed at reducing duplication and costs for both buyers and suppliers. Contractors do not join SSIP directly. Instead, assessment schemes such as CHAS, Constructionline, and SMAS are registered members of SSIP.
