Resolve Family Mediation

Resolve Family Mediation was founded by Tracy Stephenson. Tracy is originally from the North East but was a student in Birmingham and again returned to the city in 2019.

Tracy is an accredited family mediator registered with The Family Mediation Council (FMC), the professional body for family mediation in the United Kingdom. FMC members follow an established code of practice in their work and take part in regular training and continuous professional development. She is also a member of The Family Mediators Association and is qualified to meet with children as part of the mediation process (Child Inclusive Mediation).

Tracy has practiced as a mediator since 1995 and has extensive experience of all types of family mediation. She is aware that communication following separation can be very difficult and is skilled at helping people to work through any issues they have to consider. These could include emotional, practical, legal and financial matters. She is known for her practical, clear and solution-focused approach to mediation.

She is also a family law solicitor who is familiar with all matters which need to be considered following separation. She is unable to give legal advice but can provide neutral legal information.

Resolve Family Mediation is participating in the government’s voucher scheme for family mediation. The £500 voucher scheme is available for separating families with children, to go towards the cost of using accredited family mediation services. Only mediators authorised by the Family Mediation Council (FMC) are taking part in the voucher scheme.
