About Us
The Writing Quarter was founded by Olive O’Brien, a children’s writer and publisher.
Olive set up an eco-friendly book publishing company, Silver Angel Publishing in 2009. She has a Masters in Journalism and previously worked as a features writer and news reporter. She has had three children’s books published, “Perry the Playful Polar Bear,” “Perry the Polar Bear Goes Green” and “Eco Zico.”
“Perry the Playful Polar Bear” was a winner in the children’s book category at the DIY Book Festival in Los Angeles. Olive also runs other online writing communities around the world, including The Writing District and Creative Writing Ink.
