Linwood Industrial Estate

GBSS Civil Engineering Ltd was delighted to be engaged by one of our major clients for a new industrial estate project. As a critical component of the initial construction phase, the groundworks package involved comprehensive site clearance, excavation, ground modelling, and the installation of drainage systems. GBSS ensured the site was secured and the land was thoroughly prepared for excavation. The survey revealed extensive areas of rock, which were carefully removed, broken down, and, in line with our commitment to environmental sustainability, crushed, recycled, and reused on-site.
Queensferry High School

GBSS successfully completed a state-of-the-art learning facility for Edinburgh City Council in partnership with Hub South East and Morrison Construction. The project now serves as a valuable asset to both students and the wider community.
Whitecraigs Primary School

GBSS is proud to be delivering the replacement Whitecraigs Primary School in East Lothian, in partnership with Morrison Construction. They are focused on meeting the scheduled 2025 completion date, ensuring that the school will soon serve the the educational needs of the community.
Twechar Outdoor Pursuits Centre

Engaged by Morgan Sindall on behalf of East Dumbartonshire Council, GBSS Civil Engineering Ltd is thrilled to contribute to the canal-side project, transforming a derelict piece of land into a vibrant new adventure hub. This facility will offer the local community and visitors a variety of activities, including canoeing, kayaking, and cycling. Despite numerous on-site challenges, our skilled workforce has successfully adapted to the complexities of this project, which is on track to be delivered on time and within budget.
Renfrewshire New Retail Facility

GBSS Civil Engineering Ltd has extensive expertise in sustainable drainage systems (SuDS), particularly in the challenging climate of Scotland where flooding has become increasingly common. The company specializes in the installation of attenuation solultions, including two-stage filtration and underground storage systems, designed to manage stormwater effectively. With a deep knowledge of various flood management stratergies and stormwater products, GBSS Civil Engineering Ltd is committed to delivering solutions that not only address flooding challenges but also contribute positively to environmental sustainability.
Maybury Primary School

Due to significant growth in West Edinburgh, City of Edinburgh Council approved the development of a new primary school. GBSS Civil engineering Ltd is thrilled to have been appointed by Morrison Construction as one of the main contractors for this project. The new school, designed to meet Passivhaus Standards and integrated with a GP surgery, is anticipated to set a benchmark for future developments. Scheduled for completion in 2024, this project further solidifies GBSS Civil Engineering Ltd's reputation in the education sector.
